Happy New Year 2015

Happy New Year to all my Blog readers, sorry I've not posted over Christmas, I've got two weeks of travel reports to catch up on. I hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Year, and hope the various train disruptions (not just the ones on AGA) spoiled the festive period for you.

What can we expect from AGA and Network Rail in 2015? Well in January at least, there's a whole host of engineering works planned, most of which, no doubt will over run. Train faults a plenty and of course not forgetting the various infrastructure faults that always go hand in hand with AGA's own problems and masking AGA's problems.

One thing you'll all be pleased about though is that a whole five routes will be taken off AGA's hands on 31st May this year and transferred to Transport for London (TfL), along with the rolling stock that AGA use of those routes. These routes include (services they'll eventually become part of in bold):

Liverpool Street to Shenfield Metro Services - Crossrail
Liverpool Street to Chingford - London Overground
Liverpool Street to Enfield Town - London Overground
Liverpool Street to Hertford East - London Overground
Romford to Upminster - London Overground

TfL will run the current rolling stock until they've been replaced with the Class 378 (London Overground / LO) and Class 345 (Crossrail / CR) but until they do, to protect the LO and CR brands, TfL will run the current rolling stock (of Class 315 and some Class 317 trains) under the TfL Rail brand.

Good luck to TfL for taking on these knackered old trains that AGA have run into the ground, no doubt, they'll be in better condition when you've finished with them than they are now.

Remember the public consultation is running until March, please fill this in and have your views heard by the DfT. Click here to view the website for it.

We're still being heard on Twitter and Facebook too, follow me and Ian on Twitter using @RealDC80 and @Delayed_Again and join our AGA Complaints Facebook Group. The more we get heard, hopefully the more AGA, NR, the DfT and the Government will listen to us and get some improvements.

Keep following my comments and travel reports on my Blog, on Twitter and Facebook.

Thanks all,
Dan.
